  • What kind of school is Plessy?

    Homer A Plessy Community School is an open-enrollment public charter school, authorized in 2012. It is a Type 1 public charter school. No testing is required for admission.

  • Where are the Plessy Schools located?

    We have two locations!

    PreK4 - 4th Grade is located at Plessy Seventh Ward

    (1651 North Tonti Street)

    5th-8th Grade is located at Plessy Treme

    (1423 St. Phillip St)

  • What grade levels does Plessy offer?

    Plessy Schools offer grades Pre K-4 through 8th grade.

  • What type of curriculum does the school offer?

    We are an arts-integrated, project-based curriculum school. For academic specific classes, Plessy utilizes:

    Plessy is accepting new students on a rolling basis at this time. Please visit enrollnola.org to apply.

  • Where can the fee policy and current fee scheduled by found?

  • Is there a neighborhood boundary

    Admission is open to all students who are residents of Orleans Parish.  

  • Where can I find a copy of the Asbestos management plan?

    A copy of this plan can be requested from the front office.

  • Who is the Homer A. Plessy Community Schools custodian of records?

  • How can I report child abuse or neglect?

  • Act 370 Compliance- Form A, Form C

  • Epi-Pen Policy- Students in need of an Epi-Pen may have a prescribed Epi-Pen submitted as a medication for the school Nurse to keep on file. Should the Epi-Pen be needed in an event of an emergency, the School Nurse will handle the health concern based on prescribed medication directions, and follow protocol for alerting emergency personel and student's family.
