The Progressive Education Summit is a free teachers conference where the education community comes together to consider and share best practices, connect and build relationships, and move our schools closer to the ideals of education.
Keynote Speaker: Eric Booth
Eric Booth is the author of The Everyday Work of Art, The Music Teaching Artist's Bible, and more. Founding Editor of Teaching Artist Journal, and has published articles in the Harvard Education Review, Educational Leadership, Symphony magazine, and the Routledge International Handbook on Arts Education (2015).
In arts learning, Eric has taught at Juilliard (13 years), Stanford University, NYU, Tanglewood, and Lincoln Center Institute (26 years), and The Kennedy Center. He is the first person to receive an honorary doctoral degree for teaching artistry (New England Conservatory, 2012). He received Americans for the Arts 2015 Art Education Award, the most prestigious award in U.S. arts education - the first teaching artist to ever receive this award.
