What kind of school is Plessy?

Homer A Plessy Community School is an open-enrollment public charter school, authorized in 2012. It is a Type 1 public charter school. No testing is required for admission.

Where is the Plessy School located?

Plessy is excited to remain at the A. P. Tureaud campus for the 2016-17 school year, at 2021 Pauger Street. Plans are currently underway for a permanent home for Plessy. Information about asbestos at A. P. Tureaud can be found at the school in the main office (2nd floor).

What grade levels does Plessy offer?

Plessy currently offers grades Pre-K through 4th grade, and will grow by one grade level each year until we have a full Pre-K through 8th grade school.  OneApp Round-2 Enrollment is currently open with seats available in all years Pre-K through 5th grade.
